ADA Compliant - Complies with the American with Disabilities Act.
Apron Front Sink - Apron front sinks, also known as farm sinks, feature an exposed front panel.
Aqueduct - A recessed partition featured on double bowl EluminaT sinks that allows water to overflow to the adjacent bowl.
Barrier-Free - Designed for easy access for those with physical disabilities.
Drainboard - A work area connected to the sink which is slightly sloped to allow water to drain back into the sink. Ideal surface for food preparation, washing or drying dishes.
Faucet Holes - Faucet holes are often pre-drilled into the sink deck of top mount sinks. The number of faucet holes you require will be based on the style of faucet or other accessories you wish to include as part of your sink. Consider the number of faucet handles you have as well as whether additional holes will be needed for a side spray or soap dispenser.
Filtrex System® - An additional cleaning feature in our No Lead water coolers and drinking fountains that prevents larger impurities form entering the cooler.
Flexi-Guard Anti-Microbial Safety Bubbler - A bubbler available on Elkay water coolers and drinking fountains designed to flex on impact before returning to original position. An anti-microbial agent blended into the pliable plastic prevents bacteria from multiplying on the surface of the bubbler.
Fold Down Faucet - Faucet spouts folds down to allow access behind the faucet, such as to adjust window shutters or shades directly behind the sink.
Gauge - Refers to the thickness of a metal. The lower the number, the thicker the material.
Highlighted Radius - inside top rim of sink is polished to a high shine.
Insulation - Refers to insulation on the underside of the sink bowl. Spray insulation, sometimes called undercoating is used with or without pads to absorb sound, reduce condensation and help maintain sink water temperature.
Integrated Solution - A sink seamlessly welded into a custom stainless countertop.
Matte Finish - A non-glossy finish with a warm patina that helps fingerprints and smudges fade into the surface.
Minimum Cabinet Size - The minimum size your sink cabinet must be to fit the sink. Especially important to note for undermount sinks as space is needed below the counter to properly attach the sink.
Mirror Finish - A highly polished reflective finish.
No Lead Design - Elkay water coolers and drinking fountains are manufactured with a waterway system utilizing copper components and completely lead-free material.
Pot Filler Faucet - Faucet is installed near a cook top for easy filling of big pots.
Prep Sink - A small sink, often used as a bar sink or entertainment sink in the kitchen, ideal for food preparation or situations with multiple cooks.
Pre-Rinse Faucet - Features a concentrated water stream spray for high-powered rinsing.
Pull-Out Faucet - Refers to a faucet that features a pull-out spray head that is part of the faucet spout. An alternative to a traditional separate pull-out sprayer.
Quick-ClipT - A quick and easy installation system for top mount sinks, designed to save time, especially on multiple sink installation projects.
Radius - Radius is the measure of the bowl's corners and bottoms where the sides and bottom meet. The less the sides of the sink bowl slope, the smaller the radius and the greater the capacity of the sink.
Reveal - Is an option on many Elkay undermount sinks. When an undermount features a reveal, it is installed with a recessed countertop showing the highlighted inside top bowl radius.
Satin Finish - A deep, non-glossy finish with a lustrous, soft appearance. Satin finishes wear well with age as minor scratches blend in with the finish or can be buffed out.
Self-Rimming Sink - Self-Rimming sinks, also called top-mount or drop-in, are placed into the countertop from above and feature a "lip" or outer sink deck that sits on top of the countertop.
Sink Deck - Refers to the outer area of a top mount sink above the countertop, on which the faucet is mounted.
Sound Guard® Protection - An Elkay exclusive, combines a sprayed-on undercoating and sound deadening pads to absorb sound, reduce condensation and help maintain sink water temperature.
Top Mount Sink - Top mount sinks, sometimes called self-rimming or drop-in, are placed into the countertop from above and feature a "lip" or outer sink deck that sits on top of the countertop. Can be mounted onto virtually any countertop material.
Undermount Sink - An undermount sink mounts underneath the countertop for a seamless appearance from on top. For use with natural stone, composite or solid-surface countertops.
Vessel Sink - A vessel sink sits entirely on top of the countertop. Some designs may be semi-recessed into the counter.

Zero Radius - Radius is the measure of the sink bowl's corners and bottoms where the sides and bottom meet. A zero radius sink features perfectly straight sides and flat bottoms for maximum capacity.
